Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. So… if you didn't know about this fun bit of stupid, I had this admirer, he went by the name mcherry1. I vented one day and he promptly raided my journal with shit like "Lesbians hate men!!" and "LGBT brainwashes kids to follow a Satanist commie agenda!". I wound up pulling the journal just to calm shit down, and he responded with this.

Cut to 6 months later, he's pissed off enough people on DA that he's run off with his tail between his legs. So much for a "proud warrior of God".

Ahh the wonderful rant of people who really need to get out more.

Occasionally I like to crawl inside their religious insanity and use it against them. "Assuming what he believes is true that God created man and woman in his 'own image,' and you being a woman who lies other women, that should mean you as you are, your tastes / preference / interests / loves are made by God himself. Essentially, God made as you are as he is himself."

And as I ended up suggesting to a lady-friend of mine (who happens to also be a lesbian) who had an in-law spouting off all sort of biblical rhetoric about her "sinful ways) there is two little biblical references to aid in defense:
1) When several of the elders brought a woman (most likely kicking and screaming, and in the nude) accusing her of being an adulteress, Jesus told them "let he who is without sin cast the first stone." Which I doubt for anyone who wants to use religious angle is "without sin" so don't go off showing others errors and wrongdoings.
2) Before his execution, when asked what the most important commandment was Jesus answer was "Love others as I have loved you."

.... and for the laugh of it. I know it says that "Man shall not lie down with man as he does with woman." But I don't recall hearing about "woman not lying down with woman as she would with man" in which case, does that mean it's OK?

Apparently those three points made the in-law look as dumbfounded as could be. I don't know if this helps any.

Yeah, most of what I write is yuri or at least F/F antag and protag. Sue me if being beaten by a male for years makes me less than sympathetic to them in most romantic circles (the doctors don't like this, seeing as I AM male). Anyways, before I rant too much about preferences, one of the things that has kept me from posting much of my works (what little I have) IS jerks like this guy. I grew up in a part of the country where woman and gays have... well less than their fair share of rights, and my erotica preferences could have been grounds for arrest and imprisonment for "unseeming things," so... 2-3 in only ten years?
