Luthor, instead of building that duplicating machine that creates the Bizarro Superman,
decides to build a transgender machine to not only change Superman's gender but also change his/her future attitude towards Luthor, from disliking him and always trying to arrest him, to liking him and thus cause him/her not to go after him whenever he commits a crime.

However, Superman changes the equation.
As he crashes the room to confront Luthor, Lex blabs that Superman is now totally doomed.

As Supes sees the machine that Luthor created, thinking that it is another kryptonite deathray gun,
he blasts it with his heat vision, thus wrecking the unit but not before Luthor has already activated the device & it blasts the room.
The rays from the now wrecked device hits both Superman & Luthor, changing both.

Supergirl and FBI Agent Lena Luthor arrives to the scene too late to prevent the transformation.

What follows is Alexis Luthor's marriage to Clara Kent (Superwoman) and Mrs. Clara getting heavy with child with the assistance of Ms. Mercy Grace Luthor...

Superwoman (Clara Kent Luthor) had wanted to have a child first but her beloved Alexis and herself had wanted a natural conceiving in the traditional manner and didn't want an unknown donor impregnating Clara neither via test tube or even by a stranger getting intimate with their respective & beloved pardner in life..

However, Ms. Mercy, now both their bodyguard, confidant and driver, was able to assist them both; Clara specifically;
tho it left her at times quite awkward & tongue-tied whenever she was with them in the Luthor Mansion or in the Alexis Luthor Inc Bldg due to her getting
... gifted ...
by the former Lex Luthor's (now Alexis Luthor) smashed device that changed the entire equation of their life's existence...

They are seen lately in a combat bout to keep Clara alert and on guard... however, Superwoman let her guard down and was brought low by Alexis...
Thus annoying Ms. Mercy whom tries to keep both ladies alert and not distracted with each other ... didn't work this time...
